Lutinos and Pearly Pieds

The Cockatiel is known for its easy socialization and compatibility. They are loving and entertaining, less demanding while being ever responsive. We recommend a good quality Cockatiel seed or pellets, cuttlebone, millet (daily for the youngsters and as a treat for adult birds) and a variety of soft food. Soft foods include fruits, vegetables, brown rice, pasta, leafy greens, your muffin or Cheerios. The soft foods are essential for the new baby and adult birds alike. We wean our babies first to millet, then to vegetables, rice and fruit, and then to seed. We encourage new owners to continue this variety of foods for a healthier, happier pet.
